We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join a pioneering, long-term aircraft development program with a world-class OEM in the aerospace industry. This role is based in one of Switzerland’s most breathtaking regions, offering an exceptional quality of life.

🔑 Responsibilities:
- Conducting safety assessments for avionics, software-intensive or mechanical systems
- Defining, validating and verifying safety requirements
- Conducting risk assessments to support continued airworthiness
- Creation of safety classification of engineering changes
- Working with IMA (integrated Modular Avionics) and complex systems
Minimum requirements
🧩 What You Bring
- Advanced degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Aerospace Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in aircraft safety is desirable
- Proficiency in conducting Safety Assessments for civil aircrafts in accordance with SAE ARP 4761A
- Desired previous experience in safety analysis for IMA / avionic suites.
- Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), and proficiency in techniques such as Fault Tree Analysis and Common Mode Analysis (CMA)
- Hands-on experience utilizing SAE ARP 4754B standards for the development of civil aircraft and systems
- Experience in Software and model based systems
- Very good written and verbal English skills (C1)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adaptability in approaching challenges, with a capacity to work independently and proactively find solutions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration within the company and with external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with other teams
- Professional proficiency in English
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland (EU/EFTA citizenship or valid Swiss work permit required)
